end of school and France

So,  it was fun when we had guests and right after that we didn't have school Thursday or Friday so we went to a really fun campground with a pool and went on lots of hikes and went on a high ropes course.  Then we went to a town where a special cheese is made (Roquefort), and the day after our friends came to stay and they did a lot of things when I was at school.  Then Saturday and Sunday we went to the Medieval Festival and had a great time.  Monday we didn't have school and our guests left so that day we went on a big hike (les Trois Becs, the mountains you see from Crest) and after that we went swimming in the Drome River.  The river is very fun and I wish that my Aunt could have swam in it when she was here. Hi!!!!!!!!!!  To get started I'm to tell you that in the third trimester I am doing fencing and fun games.  Now the first week back It was a normal week with activities.  Then the second week back to school we didn't go to school tuesday because it was French Labor Day.   WHY A TUESDAY I LOVE TUESDAYS BECAUSE WE HAVE ENGLISH CLASS WHY ????????  Tonight we are have some friends from Utah come and stay with us.  My brother still thinks that they are coming Sunday but it we'll be a great surprise for him.  

spring break!!!!!!!

My spring break was very fun !!!  First, that sunday was easter so we went to our friends house to eat lunch with turned out to be all the afternoon!!!!  The next day we drived to Italy and ate at a little pizzaria and gorilla camped that night.  The next day we went to a town called Bolonais where the sauce bolonais was made.  Later we went to a campground where they needed our passports we didn't have them so after an hour of talking he let us stay.  The day after we went to Florence and had a really good time we stayed there for two days and a half but not on purpose we wanted to leave in the morning but are car didn't start so we had to call a tow and my dad had to stay with the car fixer all day.  Then we gorilla camped again and that afternoon we went to the beach and the day after we went on  long hike and went on the train back to our campground.  Then we went back to France and went to the gorge du Verdon and hiked with other people that we met at our campsite.  Then we came back home and we went back to school.  For more information read mary's year in France.  If some of the words aren't spelled right it's because my mom wasn't there when I wrote it.

six weeks of school and a birthday!

Well, after the vacation I was sad to go back to school. :(   But, I was really exited to have my birthday party with my friends !!!!!!!!!!!  My birthday was on a Monday so I couldn't have my sleepover on my birthday, so I had my birthday the Friday before my birthday. At my party, I invited my friends Emilie, Océane, Océane, Estelle and me!!!!!!  We went to my house at six after school and first we played musical chairs and freeze dance,Then we played outside for a long time, After we went inside and did a craft for a very long time.  When we ate we had some pizza and drank orange juice.  After that, we opened presents and ate cake made by our friend Fatima who makes the best cakes in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!  Then, we got on our pyjamas and started having the best time ever!!!!!!!!!  We played truth or dare, the person game, and we had a pillow fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Then we watched some of Narnia 2 that night and watched the rest in the morning.  We stayed up till two in the morning and had cake for breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Then, we finished our craft for the rest of the morning and gradually people started to leave.  For the activites after school I do line dancing so our show was last Friday and my mom came to take pictures of me and my friends.  Every Sunday lately my family and I have been going on a hike that my mom picks from her hiking book.  My time in France is really good and I hope you liked reading about it!!!!!!!!!  

February vacation

I know that it's been a long time since February but, I've been really busy!!!!!! So,  for the first few days in the vacation we went to a bed and breakfast in the Pyrenees. The first night we went to a little restaurant in the town.  Then in the morning we ate at the bed and breakfast because it was included in the stay.  The first day we went downhill skiing all day and had a really fun time!!!!!  That night we went into the kitchen  and made our own pasta .  Then later that night we met some nice people from Montpellier and they turned out to be very nice.  The second day we went cross country skiing and ate lunch at a refuge.  That night I met a really cute dog that followed me everywhere!!!!!!!!  Then we went to a town called Collioure. It was right next to the ocean and we could go on a trail next to the beach that was actually a roof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  When we were there we went on a hike and went to the beach.  Then for the second week we went to Narbonne and saw another Fulbrighter named Jeanne and when we were there my Aunt Casey came and we saw lots of cool ruins. For example we went to the castle of Peyprepertuse and Carcassonne.  We went in the town and saw a church.  I really liked my vacation and I hope you liked reading about it.     

Happy 2012!!!!

Well, sadly we had to go back to school. ): But, I do get to do new activities!!!!  So, on Mondays I go in a little bus with some other people and my best friend in France, Emilie. We go to a pony ranch and ride ponies, my favorite pony is Anita. She is white with orange.Then on Fridays I do country dancing!!!! It is really fun!!  So, beside activities one cool thing we did was we went to the loto de ecoles translation: bingo of the schools.  So, we went there and all my friends were there, we didn't have time to play because we were playing bingo the whole time.  I didn't win anything,but my friend Emilie won a bag of lots of stuff.  In the second trimester Emilie and I have been having alot of sleepovers and play dates.  My dad just came home this Thursday and now it's the vacation!!  But, I won't do another blog for two weeks because I will do a blog for all the vacation and the vacation has bearly started!!!!!  I will tell you one thing, though.  Someone is coming for the second week of the vacation.  You'll have read my next blog to find out!!!!!

christmas vacation

Well, I have just have finished my christmas vacation that was awesome, but sadly had to go. :( Anyway, I'll tell you all about it.  So, on the last day of school before christmas vacation, we had a little thing where all the grades sang a little song and made a little treat for everyone to eat.  Then at the last hour of school we got to play games like hangman and charades.  Then, the next day my granny came from Chicago and we picked her up at the train station. Then that same night we went to valence to see the fête du lumière it was not as big as the one in lyon, but it was cool. Then, we went to a ski resort that was three hours away from our house it is called Valloire, we were there because a friend of my mom owns some apartments there and we stayed there for two days and rented skis from the dad of my moms friend.  Then came the big moment of our vacation ... CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!   On christmas eve we had Pascale and Thierry over and they brought over something that there british friend gave to them.  It was a game that was one person pulled on each end and there was a little instrument  with a crown inside.  Then we had dinner and we had a little service.  Then the next day we opened presents and after hung around the house and played with them.  Then the next day we went to arles and saw all the cool roman ruins.  We stayed in a really nice hotel that was  right next to two of the ancient ruins.  then when we got back  granny had to leave.   That was my awesome vacation ,I hope you like reading about it.
